ABOUT
Maggie Lieberman is a New Haven, CT based artist and teacher (MM New England Conservatory of Music under the Mildred H. Kellogg Scholarship, BM University of Oregon). She has a range of performance experience which spans singing with local professional choruses including the newly formed Yale Consort to extensive experience singing operatic roles and classical recitals across the country and the world. Her students have enjoyed successes ranging from leading roles in their high school musicals, to honors in national and international vocal competitions, to acceptance into world renowned vocal programs such as Juilliard Pre-College Division, Boston Conservatory of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, and Boston University Tanglewood Institute, among others. Maggie is on Faculty at Western Connecticut State University, Educational Center for the Arts, and is currently serving as President for the National Association for Teachers of Singing, Connecticut Chapter.
Some of Maggie's most notable experiences as a performer include her European debut with the Tuscia Opera Festival in Viterbo, Italy, where she sang the role of Adina in a concert of Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore along side a cast of fellow American emerging artists as well as renowned Italian opera professionals. In the United States, Maggie performed the role of Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro with the Astoria Music Festival Apprentice Program under the baton of Olivia Tsui and direction of Noel Koran with musical direction from Keith Clark. While in Astoria, Ms. Lieberman coached the role with world renowned soprano, Ruth Ann Swenson as well as San Francisco Opera and Vienna State Opera coach Paul Harris.
